D Day Commemorations 2024 Beacon Lighting. The mayor of stafford borough will be lighting. On the evening of 6th june, over one thousand beacons were lit throughout the united kingdom, channel islands and uk overseas territories to commemorate the 80th.
The finale there will be a ceremonial lighting of the beacon at the top of the church tower.
